Introduction to Risk Management
Organiser
Successful business leaders do not embark on their journey without knowing their intended destination, their expected itinerary and time of arrival. They don't set out with fingers crossed and a suitcase full of hope. Instead, they have a knowledge of the risks that exist within their organisation and an appreciation of the challenges they expect to meet along the way, they have assessed the risks they are prepared to take, have a view of those that they are not prepared to take, and they understand how all these elements interact with each other.
By the end of this workshop you will be able to:
- Understand how effective risk management can support an organisation to achieve its goals
- Explain the difference between uncertainty, threats and opportunities
- Determine the relevance of internal and external risk;
- Describe the relationship between risk management, governance and organizational resilience;

- Identify the upside of risk ie. opportunity
