Mills & Reeve, in partnership with Drive Midlands, invite you to join us for our Connected and Autonomous Vehicle (CAV) event on Tuesday 16 May.
CAVs are no longer a question of "if" but rather of "when". Recent activity includes:
Nissan conducting on-road autonomous vehicle testing in London
Jaguar Land Rover planning to create a fleet of more than 100 research vehicles by 2020
Volvo seeking volunteers for self-driving car trial in London
Following on from our successful Driverless Revolution event in Manchester, we are once again bringing together industry leaders to discuss the benefits and barriers to losing the driver from the cars on our streets. We will also hear about the potential opportunities for the automotive supply chain which are presented by the new technologies, and how to capitalise on them whilst avoiding the pitfalls.
Confirmed speakers and panellists include representatives from TRL,Transport for West Midlands, Horiba Mira, JLR and KPMG (authors of the report for the SMMT on ‘Connected & Autonomous Vehicles – The UK Economic Opportunity’). We’re also delighted to confirm that Tesla will be joining us to provide attendees with exclusive access to one of their semi-autonomous vehicles.
This event is aimed at automotive businesses and non-automotive businesses involved in the CAV market and companies looking for market entry.
CWLEP Growth Hub will be launching a new and exciting opportunities directory soon. It will enable local businesses to access supply chain opportunities from across the region. To be the first to hear about the launch make sure you're on our mailing list - we promise we will only contact you with useful and relevant information.
