We are looking for a Project Manager to join our dynamic and growing team at the Coventry & Warwickshire Reinvestment Trust (CWRT). Our Project Manager role will give you an opportunity to deliver on a variety of funded projects from end-to-end. Reporting to and working closely with the Chief Executive, you’ll work with the Business Support team and the business to plan and deliver desired outputs, outcomes and benefits, in line with the delivery plan, funders requirements and regulations.

Costs, progress and scope will be pro-actively monitored against budget and plan, applying your knowledge and experience to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues where appropriate. You’ll be able to interpret detailed plans whilst understanding the impact of project dependencies.

You’ll build strong working relationships with stakeholders, enabling you to manage expectations and influence outcomes as needed.

About You

  • As an experienced Project Manager, you’ll be able to confidently define a project from initiation. This will include defining and setting the scope, delivery approach and the plan to support it and the resource required. You’ll have experience of delivering a number of funded projects on cost and to time as well as the ability to effectively minimise project risks.
  • You’ll be confident dealing with a project with a high volume of dependencies and enjoy having a detailed approach. It’s essential you have experience delivering funded projects and you’ll ideally have exposure to managing projects in business support/start-up environment. You’ll also have:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and influencing skills
  • Proven track record of successful delivery of funded programmes (especially ERDF)
  • Experience working within the business support arena
  • Experience in managing across various project methodologies (I.e. Prince 2)
  • Good track record of people management
  • Flexibility to recognise, adapt and work effectively within a variety of situations and with various individuals or groups with varying perspectives and objectives

Added bonus if you have:

  • Full working knowledge of required software tools including Microsoft Excel.
  • Recognised accreditation in Project Management.

Job Purpose:

  • To take a significant role in organising the delivery of all assigned projects in line with contracted requirements; to develop promotional pathways and actively encourage target group participation in delivery initiatives; and to assist in the delivery of project elements.

Main Duties:

  • Ensuring the project operates within budget and delivers agreed outputs.
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly claims, project reports and audit trails.
  • Day to day project management of the project.
  • Building partnerships and stakeholder engagement.
  • Preparation of marketing materials to promote the profile and reputation of CWRT’s business support services through social media, outreach and other means, and by proactive networking.
  • Actively promote and encourage client’s engagement and participation in business support service initiatives.
  • Interact with colleagues and sub-contractors to optimise delivery arrangements and help ensure the quality of delivery.
  • Undertake, manage and monitor all procurement activities in line with CWRT’s, projects and funders requirements.
  • Undertake elements of project delivery as required.
  • Maintain procedures and records necessary to meet the requirements of a robust project management system and our funders.
  • Monitor and report progress, identify non-conformities and implement or suggest corrective actions.
  • Actively seek new business support opportunities for CWRT to be involved in.
  • General administration tasks including the assistance of clients.
  • Managing the Project Officer, Outreach Worker and sub-contractors.
  • To take part in meetings, supervision, training as requested by the Chief Executive.

The Job Holder will:

  • Undertake other duties as required.
  • Assist other managers and officers as required.
  • Comply with all CWRT’s policies and procedures including Money Laundering, Health and Safety, and Treating Customers Fairly and raising concerns in a timely manner.
  • Be aware of confidential issues.
  • Contribute to the overall ethos, work & aims of CWRT.

Reporting:

  • Reports to the Chief Executive.
  • Assists trainees and apprentices as appropriate.

Hours of Work:

  • 37.5 hours per week to be worked as follows:
  • Monday to Friday – 9.00am to 5.00pm (less ½ hour unpaid lunch break each day)
  • Holiday Entitlement:
  • 25 days plus Bank Holidays.

Duration:

  • Permanent.
  • 80% ERDF.

Coventry, West Midlands, Full-time, Salary: £26,000.00 to £27,000.00 /year
