Coventry City Council are Recruiting for a Programme Officer

There is no better time to work in Coventry. The city successfully bid to become UK City of Culture in 2021 and is now preparing to take centre stage and show the world what it has to offer.

An opportunity has arisen for 2 enthusiastic and motivated individuals to support the delivery of Coventry City Council’s highly successful Economic Development Programmes. Working on our biggest and most important  projects, including those linked to City of Culture, you will be supporting the successful delivery of over £150m of EU and UK Government funding programmes.

This is an exciting and varied role which will support the delivery of the £131m Local Growth Fund Programme for Coventry & Warwickshire

A natural self starter, with a can-do attitude, you will ideally have experience of processing claims and supporting projects, having worked on previous grant funded programmes. In addition, the ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, be able to work on their own initiative with the ability to meet deadlines.

Candidates with similar experience in other sectors with transferable skills will also be considered.

The role is initially temporary for two years.
