New Coventry & Warwickshire Business Festival – event applications now open

Applications to run an event in the Coventry & Warwickshire Business Festival are now being taken.

From 20th November to 1st December 2017, Coventry and Warwickshire will host the largest Business Festival ever to take place in the region. Around 50-75 seminars, lectures, workshops and conferences - all put on by local businesses, are expected to form a packed programme of inspiring business events across the fortnight.

Organisations from across Coventry & Warwickshire can now apply via the website (www.cwbusinessfestival.com) to run an event as part of the Business Festival. Already the response has been phenomenal and over forty expressions of interest have been received from companies interested in running events.

Business Festival events can take any shape from an online webinar or small workshop to a large trade show or national conference. All events should benefit local businesses, showcase what the region has to offer or be topical or of national significance. Examples could include how to source new supply chains, exporting and selling to foreign markets, or improving staff retention; through to accessing university research; maximising low carbon technologies or perhaps how recent political events might affect SMEs. The Business Festival has a projected market reach of around two million in year one and up to 7,500 visitors anticipated with around 15-18% of these being from outside of Coventry and Warwickshire.

Developed by the Coventry & Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and the Coventry & Warwickshire Growth Hub, the Business Festival is intended to stimulate business growth in the area and bring the region together once a year to interact, engage, promote, support, learn and discuss business under one branded banner – the Coventry & Warwickshire Business Festival.

Craig Humphrey, managing director of the Coventry & Warwickshire Growth Hub, said: “This is a real opportunity to showcase the vast range of knowledge, commerce, culture and innovative businesses we have in Coventry and Warwickshire and to entice more businesses to locate here.

“Events at the festival are put on by business, for business, so we urge the entire business community to get involved. There could be numerous benefits including growing your business network, connecting with likeminded
industry experts and increasing your exposure significantly both in the region and beyond.

The Business Festival will have something for everyone and will truly reflect the region, its enviable position and its success.”

Businesses of any size can apply to run an event. Applying is a simple online process via the Coventry & Warwickshire Business Festival website.
