Businesses in Coventry and Warwickshire are being urged to get involved in a survey that helps to inform government of the mood among companies across the UK.

The Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Warwickshire County Council’s economic team, has launched the first Quarterly Economic Survey of 2017.

The QES feeds into the research undertaken by the British Chambers of Commerce and provides a barometer of both the regional and national economy. More than 8,000 companies take part nationwide in what is the largest private sector survey in the country.

The survey is split into manufacturing and service sectors and drills down into whether firms expect to grow or contract over the next 12 months, their intentions to invest in training and equipment as well as their need to take on new staff.

Once the results are processed, the Chamber will hold a briefing alongside Warwickshire County Council to let businesses know the mood among fellow companies in the region and the economic outlook for the next three to 12 months.
