Dental Agency Fills Vacancy Thanks To Growth Hub’s Support

Dental Elite, based in Rugby, is a specialist dental consultancy that facilitates the sale and purchase of dental practices and provides industry-focused recruitment solutions across the UK.

The firm was co-founded by Luke Moore and Paul Wilkinson in 2010. The pair, along with their team of experts, bring years of experience within the dental sector to their clients.

While Dental Elite is one of the nation’s leaders in putting dental staff into new roles thanks to their dedicated recruitment service, the business found that its usual approach was no longer putting them in touch with the best possible candidates for an internal position.

The challenge

Sue Humphrey, Commercial Director at Dental Elite, was on the lookout for a new account manager to join the commercial team, but felt that the applications she was receiving did not quite meet the company’s high standards.

She wanted to take a different approach than the usual job sites to cut down on timewasting applications and ensure that the candidate’s personality was taken into account as much as their qualifications.

The Solution

She decided to contact the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership (CWLEP) Growth Hub, who pointed her in the direction of its FinditinCW’s Employment Solutions programme.

Rich Hales, Employment & Skills Account Manager at the CWLEP Growth Hub, sourced and vetted various applicants personally, and presented Sue with two of the best potential employees.

The initiative delivers targeted recruitment leads to businesses of all sizes in both the private and public sectors in Coventry and Warwickshire.

The Result

Dental Elite was able to fill its vacancy soon after getting in touch with the Growth Hub thanks to its Employment Solutions service.

Sue was immediately impressed with both candidates and offered one of them the job following a telephone interview.

She said: “I had an instant feeling that this was the right person for the job after a few minutes on the phone with them, which proves that the steps taken by Employment Solutions and Rich were extremely effective and delivered the exact outcome that we were looking for.

“It was a quick and seamless process that made the usual trawling through applicants seem completely unnecessary.

“It was not the amount of experience or number of qualifications that Rich identified as important in his research, but the type of experience and the kinds of characteristics and personalities that might be associated with a certain professional background.

“Our new account manager has experience in dealing with residential sales and so had a confident manner and experience communicating over the phone.

“He has hit the ground running, and we will definitely be looking to utilise Employment Solutions for any future internal vacancies.”
