Free Workshop to Help SMEs Increase Design and Production Skills

International Institute for Product and Service Innovation
University Road, Coventry CV4 7AL
United Kingdom

A two day workshop to help provide insights into the product design/development process using 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) software. The workshop will also include a look at how Additive Layer Manufacturing (ALM) can increase the rate of product development and consider the use of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure your design survives real world scenarios.

This workshop will help SME manufacturers* better understand 3D CAD and how ALM & FEA principles can stimulate new ideas and generate business growth.  *This event is for UK SMEs in the manufacturing supply chain only.

Why should you attend?

  • Improve your design knowledge and understand how to turn this into an essential tool
  • Learn how to develop new products utilising CAD
  • Gain a wider awareness of the different types of CAD systems available and their respective benefits and limitations
  • Recognise the advantages that ALM machines can bring to the new product development process
  • Discover how to appraise and test your design using FEA principles
  • Realise how FEA saves on prototyping, speeds up development and gives you a higher level of confidence in your design prior to tooling investment.

  • Details of the full workshop agenda will appear here shortly.
