Meet the Market: Belgium Skype Surgery

One of the best parts of exporting is the chance to travel the world, growing your business while you're at it. Of course, visiting a market and meeting face to face with new contacts is one of the best ways to develop a successful business relationship - but we realise that this isn't always possible.

That's why we are working with our network of contacts based at British Embassies around the world arranging for them to visit the West Midlands, giving businesses the chance to meet commercial specialists on their doorstep at an event or via a 1:1 Skype meeting.

Find out if your product or service will sell in Belgium - request a free 20-30 minute on-line chat with one of DIT’s Trade Advisers based at the British Embassy in Brussels...

The team are open to discussions with businesses in any sector but they is a particular focus on:

  • biotechnology
  • agri-food sector (convenience foods, snacks, spirits, seafood, ethnic foods, healthy, free from and organic foods)
  • environmental technology (wind energy, bio-mass, energy efficiency and monitoring)
  • pharmaceutical sector (process equipment supply, maintenance expertise, process monitoring and safety, biobased chemicals)
  • information communications technology (ICT) (e-health, ICT solutions, cyber security, cloud computing, big data (data which exceeds current processing capacity), digital and social media marketing, mobile)
  • transport and logistics
  • security (counter terrorism, critical infrastructure protection, tackling organised crime, security equipment, guarding services)
  • Construction (collaboration with architects, public private partnership projects, sustainable building products, energy and cost saving products, specialist building products)

The 11.3m population have a high average disposable income and English is widely spoken / understood so if you sell well in the UK, there’s a good chance of you doing the same in Belgium.
