Our Warwickshire Economic Review will deliver the results of the most recent Quarterly Economic Survey for Coventry & Warwickshire helping businesses to understand how our region's economy is performing, business confidence and the health of our business environment.

The QES is the first economic indicator of the quarter, published in advance of official figures and other private surveys, and it consistently mirrors trends in official data. For this reason the survey is closely watched by policymakers such as the Treasury, the Bank of England, the Office of Budget Responsibility, the EU Commission and the IMF.

We will be joined by Suren Thiru, Head of Economics & Business Finance at the British Chambers of Commerce.

Hospitality Sector Panel:

Automation vs. Customer Service Experience in the Hospitality Sector: The panel will explore whether the challenges posed by the skills shortage, Brexit, recruitment challenges, increasing customer expectations etc. mean that hospitality businesses need to look more to automation and use of technology to address these challenges (online check-in, iPad receptions, etc.) and what the lasting impact of this could be on the customer service experience. Could this also have an impact on unemployment figures as jobs are replaced by technology in this sector?
