Skills for Employment Breakfast Meeting
Organiser
Networking event for businesses and Headteachers from secondary schools in the borough, to discuss opportunities for businesses to develop partnerships and address skills challenges.
Skills shortages? One way for businesses to tackle skills shortages is to recruit school and college leavers.
Businesses can save around £5,000 each time they recruit a school or college leaver directly (Source: ACAS report 2015).
More than a thousand 16-18 year olds leave Warwickshire schools and colleges every year. More and more 'A' level students are choosing to go into work with continuing training and development rather than go to university. Schools and colleges are keen to develop the employability of their students. That's why Warwickshire County Council and Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council are pleased to invite you to a breakfast meeting with the headteachers of local schools on 15th November 7.30am - 10am at Central Site Accommodation, Unit 2 Gresham Road, Bermuda Industrial Estate, Nuneaton, CV10 7QR.
The purpose of the meeting is to enable businesses and schools to discuss their skills challenges and form new relationships. The host business, Central Site, is a fast-growing manufacturer of portable buildings and off-site construction incorporating the latest modular technology. The meeting will include a brief tour of its operation.
