Creating online content to grow your business
Everyone knows they need to be online, but there is a bewildering array of platforms to choose from and what looks like a never-ending list of things to create and keep updated; when you’re starting a business - it can feel like a full-time job in itself.
This course will break down where you need to be and why. You'll explore what you genuinely need your online activity to do for you and what you need to do to achieve those goals.
We’ll explore social media, messaging platforms and websites, whether that’s for awareness building, sales or lead generation.
You’ll leave the session with a plan of essential elements that need to be created, including photography, video and written material, and what can be left out. You’ll also be handed a toolkit of the best apps and sites to create and host your content.
You will then be able to use that material to grow your online community and learn how to grow your following through social media, groups and events.
When and what to pay for your online presence
You may think that online marketing is free but in 2022 you do have to put your money where your mouth is if you want to see results quickly.
In this course, you’ll discover where you can advertise online and what each can do for you. You’ll leave having identified your target customer and where to track them down, whether on Facebook, Google, Instagram or LinkedIn.
You also learn what you need to create the perfect ad, how to set your budget and how to know whether they were worth it.
Create a seamless and hands-free sales and marketing system
This workshop will encourage you to think about your sales process: from the very start and give examples of how different software can work together to automate much of the sales and follow up process.
We’ll start with setting your objectives and looking at your customer journey from initial awareness to enthusiastic ambassador.
You will learn the best ways to capture incoming enquiries and how to keep in touch in an engaging and non-invasive way.
A business is only as good as its systems, and you’ll discover the wealth of tools on the market to create a seamless, efficient system, from appointment scheduling, task management, and automation, to full-scale Customer Relationship Management systems.
Present your best self online
The events of the last few years have meant that meeting and presenting online has become standard. This needs a different set of skills to meet face to face,
This workshop will take you through how to do business online, whether initial client meetings, networking or discussions with colleagues.
We’ll look at the platforms you’ll need and how to make the choice, as well as how to integrate those platforms into your other systems.
You’ll discover how to look and sound your best, with a little of the right equipment and a lot of thought and planning. You’d be amazed how many people still haven’t grasped this.
We’ll also explore the presentation skills and etiquette required to conduct successful business.
Put your best jumper on, tidy up behind you and we look forward to seeing you.
Measuring Return on Investment
“If you can’t measure it you can’t improve it.”
It’s easy to invest hours in marketing, particularly online, with little idea of the direct results of all your efforts.
This workshop will cover how to measure a return on investment on your digital marketing from the very beginning of the business. We’ll look at some sample dashboards and how to build your own that contains everything you need.
You will do some calculations on how much you should be investing in your marketing, and tracking how much each new customer has cost you.
It’s in this way that we can measure how successful our marketing really is.
Then you’ll learn how to track website traffic and learn what your customers are doing online with a variety of tools including Google analytics.
And finally, we’ll explore how to measure the unmeasurable – your social media activity. What counts as good engagement, how do you know what that is and what can you do to improve it?
Your Website
Your website is your shop window for your business. It can be where all the action happens or provide confidence and reassurance to your clients.
Whatever you are using your website for, make sure it’s working for you right from the start.
In this two-hour webinar, we’ll discuss whether you need a website, the pros and cons of hiring a web designer, and how to create a comprehensive brief if you do.
We’ll explore what your website needs to contain, and how to create compelling and searchable copy, as well as the additional bells and whistles in the form of plugins and add-ons that could make a big difference to your business.
SEO can feel like a dark art but we’ll break down what it actually means and what you can do to make the most difference.
