More than 5,000 people to discover apprenticeship opportunities at major Coventry event
Thousands of people will head to Coventry Building Society Arena to discover apprenticeship opportunities with regional, national and international employers in February.
The National Apprenticeship Show is set to attract a diverse range of regional and national employers and providers, and more than 5,000 school leavers, college students and adults seeking to take the next steps in their careers.
This will be the third time the West Midlands edition of the event has been hosted at Coventry Building Society Arena when it takes place on Tuesday, February 25 and Wednesday, February 26.
It launched at the Coventry venue in 2022 as a one-day event and has since expanded to a two-day event to cater for demand from businesses and people interested in learning more about apprenticeships.
The free event covers all levels of apprenticeships, from entry level to higher and degree level, and provides valuable opportunities to speak face-to-face with the Midlands’ top apprenticeship employers and providers.
The two-day event seeks to attract visitors from across Coventry, Warwickshire, Birmingham, Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall, Wolverhampton, East Midlands and surrounding areas.
Employers already confirmed to attend include the British Army, Tesco, Mercedes-Benz, Severn Trent, Skills for Security, MTC (Manufacturing Technology Centre), the NHS and many more – the event also encourages SMEs from the local area to exhibit to showcase opportunities with smaller businesses.
For this year, the show is co-hosted with UniversityFest which will feature Universities, there to inform visitors about all the options available in post-18 education, including degree apprenticeships and traditional Higher Education pathways.
The National Apprenticeship Show is organised by NAS Media and is held in multiple locations across England. The event at Coventry Building Society Arena is the only National Apprenticeship Show in the West Midlands.
Meg Kanka, Head of Events at NAS Media, said: “The stage is set for another great event in Coventry, with thousands of people joining us to discover Apprenticeship opportunities and speak with many excellent employers and training providers.”
“Our events exist to promote apprenticeships and our message is clear – apprenticeships work for both candidates and employers alike!”
“Coventry Building Society Arena is a fantastic venue for us as it has great transport links, ample parking and the internal space for exhibitors to bring in interactive features for their stands.”
“The event will take place after National Apprenticeship Week, which runs from 10 to 16 February, so we are expecting heightened interest with apprenticeships being firmly in the spotlight in the lead up to the show.”
The show will transform the Exhibition Hall at Coventry Building Society Arena for two days.
Jenni Ford, Director of Sales and Marketing at Coventry Building Society Arena, added: “We’re excited to be welcoming back The National Apprenticeship Show for a third occasion.
“Our location positions us perfectly to host events which target visitors from around the Midlands and we’re looking forward to welcoming visitors from across the region in February.”
