Community Emergency Response Fund

Funding still available to support Community and Voluntary Groups

Warwick District Council is urging local voluntary and community groups to come forward and access the COVID-19 relief funding which is available to them.

Launched last month, the Community Emergency Response Fund (CERF) will award grants of up to £1000 (or more in exceptional circumstances), to organisations who have a role in supporting the Warwick District community and are experiencing short-term financial hardship, needing to adapt or increase their services or have had to cease operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Although several successful applications have already been made, the Council is aware that many other local groups could be eligible for support.

Warwick District Council’s Portfolio Holder for Health and Community Protection, Councillor Judith Falp commented;

“During ‘Volunteers Week’ I would firstly like to pay tribute to the many voluntary organisations, groups and individuals who have gone the extra mile to help the most vulnerable in our community during these difficult times.  Secondly I want to make a plea to all those involved to come forward and claim this funding to help you to continue with your amazing work.”
