Coventry City Council Apprenticeship Levy Fund

Coventry City Council’s Apprenticeship Levy Fund Transfer

Coventry City Council (CCC) will transfer its available apprenticeship levy fund to support small to medium sized (SMEs) non-levy-paying businesses.
The funds are to support eligible employers in Coventry or eligible employers outside of the city who employ Coventry residents. The Levy Fund can be used to train new recruits or existing members of staff. We are keen to make our Apprenticeship Levy Fund Programme support as many businesses and residents of Coventry as possible.

This is a great opportunity to ensure that apprenticeship funds reach as far as possible by supporting as many businesses and residents of Coventry with the funds available who would benefit from such investment. Employers across the City will have the opportunity to apply to access funds that will
enable you to fund an apprenticeship programme. This will open opportunities for employers to employ individuals that can help develop their skills whilst gaining a recognised qualification.

We are particularly interested in transferring funds to employers that can commit to recruiting the following people from Coventry as apprentices:

• Care leavers

• Young People, particularly who are not in education, employment or training (NEETS)

• Parents or carers looking to return to work

• People with disabilities

Further details for Employers who want to receive a transfer on the Government website using the following link: www.gov.uk/guidance/transferringapprenticeship-service-funds

Unfortunately, we are unable to transfer funds where the receiving employer is eligible for full government funding because they have fewer than 50 employees and the apprentice is 16 to 18 years old or is an eligible 19 to 24-year-old (i.e. have a health/care plan)
