With the summer holidays just around the corner, businesses are reminded they have until 9 September to get their Coventry & Warwickshire Business Festival event applications in.
The Business Festival, developed in 2017 by the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership (CWLEP) and the CWLEP Growth Hub is headline partnered by Inspire Insurance. It is an exciting fortnight filled with free business events of all descriptions, taking place from 11-21 November.
Anyone can apply to run an event. These can be about any business subject and can take any form from a workshop or seminar to a conference, trade show, demonstration or showcase. Events must benefit other businesses or individuals by creating learning, sharing, or business growth opportunities; or should highlight the innovation, business excellence and promote the investment opportunities in the region.
Applications to run events must be made via the Business Festival website www.cwbusinessfestival.com/apply by 9 September.
Craig Humphrey, managing director of the CWLEP Growth Hub, said, “Being the holiday season, it can be a lot quieter for many, so the summer is a really good time for businesses to develop and organise their events.
“We want to ensure we have a comprehensive programme of quality events that are stimulating, useful and really showcase Coventry Warwickshire’s strengths as a fantastic place for business whilst highlighting our strengths in knowledge and innovation.
“Now in its third year, the Business Festival continues to be the region’s largest business event, engaging thousands of businesses and attracting in the order of 5,000 attendees. I would urge firms of all sizes and in all industries to make sure they get involved now and don’t miss the September deadline, because it will soon come around!”
A workshop was held on 9 July to help event organisers run a great event in the Festival. The information presented at this, along with and other helpful downloads are available on the website at www.cwbusinessfestival.com/media.
The Festival is managed by Associate Events, and run in association with the Coventry and Warwickshire LEP and the CWLEP Growth Hub. The headline partner is Inspire Insurance and partners are Coventry University and Coventry University Enterprises. It is sponsored by the FSB and supported by Deeleys, Coventry City Council, Warwickshire County Council and the district/borough councils of Nuneaton & Bedworth, Warwick, Rugby, North Warwickshire and Stratford on Avon.
