Kenilworth care provider holding one-off open day after strong recovery since burst pipe flooding
A Kenilworth care provider is inviting the public to a one-off open day after a strong recovery following its temporary closure due to a flood from a burst pipe.
Kare Plus Kenilworth in Talisman Shopping Centre is holding an open day on Friday July 21 to enable new customers to see what the company is all about, and for prospective staff members to find out more about working in the care sector.
The business, which opened in Talisman Shopping Centre last year, provides care to people across Warwickshire, Coventry, and Birmingham, and provides staffing for larger care homes.
It suffered a setback after a burst pipe forced its closure for a few months after Christmas.
But since reopening, Kare Plus is going from strength to strength and is eagerly awaiting a decision from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to enable it to provide medical care in homes alongside its current ‘home help’ services.
The company decided to host an informal open day to show off its services and highlight the benefits of working in the sector as Kare Plus looks to grow even further.
Kavi Pryagh, director of Kare Plus Kenilworth, said: “One of the main reasons we opened in Talisman Shopping Centre was to be at the heart of the Kenilworth community, and our open day will give everyone a chance to see what we’re all about.
“Since our burst pipe, we’ve been pleased to say that business has picked up, with plenty of people coming back in to enquire about our home help services. Talisman’s excellent footfall has meant this side of the business has come back strongly.
“However, we could always do with more people on our books to fill vacancies at care homes across Warwickshire, Coventry and Birmingham, hence why we want to show off our business to those who might want to find out a little bit more.
“And if the CQC decision is positive, we’ll be able to expand our services into providing medical care in homes, which will result in more opportunities for work.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming the public to Kare Plus Kenilworth on the day. There will be plenty of delicious refreshments for people to enjoy, and myself and the team will be happy to answer any questions.”
Hugo Hawkings, owner of Talisman Shopping Centre developers Discovery Properties, added: “It’s great to see how Kare Plus has bounced back since its flooding, and its open day is a great way to establish itself in the community.
“We’d encourage anyone who wants to find out more about what the business offers or working in the sector to pop along on the day.”
The open day takes place from 11.30am to 3.30pm at Kare Plus’s offices in Talisman Shopping Centre. All are welcome to attend.
