The Kianna Treatment Centre has pledged to help battle skin cancer in Coventry & Warwickshire
The owner of a new holistic beauty treatment centre has pledged to use her expertise to help battle skin cancer across the region.
The Kianna Treatment Centre, which has just opened for business near Coleshill, offers a range of unique skin and beauty treatments based on holistic practices.
However Katie, who has been assisted in turning her ambition into reality by the Coventry and Warwickshire LEP Growth Hub, has her eyes on helping the community beyond her work with clients.
She will team up with skin cancer charity Melanoma Me to assist in heightening awareness of the signs of skin cancer for public facing professionals across the Midlands by hosting classes at the Nuneaton Road site, starting in February.
The opening day of Kianna Treatment Centre was attended by the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of North Warwickshire, as well as friends, family and customers eager to take advantage of some opening day deals.
Katie said: “I am so proud to have opened up my new treatment centre and I am touched by the support of not just everyone who came along on opening day, but the business community as a whole, everyone has been so supportive.
“It was a real honour for me to welcome the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of North Warwickshire, so I am thankful for their attendance and support.
“Our aim is to offer the most forward thinking and natural treatments to get our customers feeling good about themselves but I also want to help people beyond that.
“Melanoma Me supports people with skin cancer and their families and I am proud to be teaming up with the team there to offer class to educate people on how to spot the signs of skin cancer and what steps to take next.”
Kianna Treatment Centre, which specialises in offering skin therapy treatments and semi-permanent make up and micro bladed eyebrows, has been helped to get off the ground by Gavin Barnett, Business Navigator at the Coventry and Warwickshire LEP Growth Hub.
Gavin said: “Katie has the skills and determination to make a real success of this business and we are pleased to have assisted her in getting started.
“The opening day was a real success and I am sure this is just the start of many wonderful years for Katie and the team.”
Katie has also asked that anyone interested in helping with her work with Melanoma Me contacts her at thekiannatreatmentcentre@yahoo.com
