One month to Submit Business Festival Events
There is only one month left for businesses to apply to run an event in the Coventry & Warwickshire Business Festival before the closing date on 28 September.
The Business Festival is taking place from 19 November to 30 November 2018. Anyone can apply to run an event and with 5,000 attendees and over 100 events, it is not only the biggest business event in the region but something that companies are already proving to be keen to be involved in.
Applications are limited and are being accepted on a first come, first served basis. With a high percentage of the programme complete, any organisations still wishing to host an event should submit their applications as soon as possible.
Business Festival events can be held anywhere in Coventry or Warwickshire and take any shape from an online webinar or small workshop to a large trade show or national conference. Events should benefit local businesses, showcase what the region has to offer or be topical or of national significance. Examples could include how to source new supply chains, exporting and selling to foreign markets, or improving staff retention; through to accessing university research; showcasing new innovative technologies or perhaps a common issue or challenge affecting SMEs.
The process to apply is very simple through a short application form on the website www.cwbusinessfestival.com/apply
Craig Humphrey, (pictured below) managing director of the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership Growth Hub, said: “Events in the Festival are all put on by business for business and it is already proving to be popular with companies from right across the region so I would urge anyone considering hosting an event to get their application soon before the closing date on September 28.
“There could be numerous benefits to staging an event including growing your business network, connecting with like-minded industry experts and increasing your exposure significantly both in the region and beyond. The Festival provides the perfect showcase of the vast range of knowledge, commerce, culture and innovation in Coventry and Warwickshire and people will be coming from far and wide to attend."
Business Festival is run in association with the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership and the Coventry and Warwickshire LEP Growth Hub and is managed by Associate Events. Partners are Coventry University and the University of Warwick and sponsors are thefutureworks and CUE Business Solutions.
Business Festival supporters include: RDM, Deeleys, Tisski, Coventry City Council, Warwickshire County Council, Coventry City of Culture and the district councils of North Warwickshire, Nuneaton & Bedworth, Rugby, Stratford-on-Avon and Warwick and media partners include Business & Innovation magazine.
