Skills Escalator Fund - Upskill Your Business
The Warwickshire Skills Hub has launched The Skills Escalator Fund in partnership with Warwick District Council. This fund provides training support for businesses, which can access funding of up to £750 per person for up to 5 employees.
The training supported by the escalator fund is led by the business and its needs. The Warwickshire Skills Hub team provides support in developing a training plan to reflect business needs and employees' aspirations. The fund provides support to businesses in upskilling their employees to provide them with the skills to further their careers.
The program is currently available to businesses in Warwick and Stratford District Council areas (with up to 249 employees) and will soon be available in Nuneaton, Bedworth, and Rugby postcode areas.
Ella Billiald, Portfolio Holder for Arts and Economy at Warwick District Council said: "This is an excellent opportunity for businesses to support their employees in developing and improving their skills. I do hope that eligible businesses across the district will apply to take part in this scheme."
Training on offer can be for qualifications, licences, vocational skills training, or certificated learning, which a college or independent training provider delivers.
Courses need to be completed by 31/3/2025, and funding is paid upon completion of the course. This project is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
