Business Festival Events are Filling up Quick

Applications for the Coventry & Warwickshire Business Festival have been flying in with an abundance of unique and exciting events already in the programme.

The Business Festival is taking place from 19 to 30 November. This year the amount of events has been limited to streamline the programme, and it is already over one quarter full.

There are events in every district of the region which vary in topic, but include cutting-edge modern technology and artificial intelligence in business by the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership (CWLEP) Growth Hub, as well as important issues like cyber security protection. Networking, marketing and HR are always popular subjects with a broad appeal – particularly to small and medium sized businesses, and this year is no exception.

The Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce is also staging 'Coventry & Warwickshire's largest Careers Speed Networking Event' at the Ricoh Arena  where hundreds of business from across the region will be giving their time to help Coventry and Warwickshire’s young people find out more about jobs and working.

Anyone can apply to run an event as part of the Festival – and it can be about anything so long as it benefits other businesses or individuals by creating learning, sharing, or business growth opportunities; is topical or controversial and will attract attention; or will showcase the innovation and business excellence in the region. Applications are being taken on a first come first served basis and should be submitted by 28 September via the website www.cwbusinessfestival.com/apply.

Craig Humphrey, managing director of the CWLEP Growth Hub, said: “There is certainly early traction this year. We are seeing all sorts of stimulating and innovative events coming forward that really will showcase our region and confirm our place as the ‘Knowledge Capital of the UK’. All the signs are pointing towards a really exciting Festival.

“Now is the ideal time for organisations of any size to get involved in the largest business event in the region. I would urge any applications to be submitted as soon as possible, as this part of the process closes on September 28.”

For anyone still searching for a venue to hold their event, the Business Festival is working with a range of partners who are offering space for free, or at a heavily discounted rate to event organisers. These comprise of hotels, conference centres, business offices and boardrooms, and theatres. Twelve new venues have so far been added this year throughout the city and county. The full list of venue partners can be found on the website at www.cwbusinessfestival.com/venues.
