Festive fundraiser comes to Coventry Cathedral this Christmas

Families are invited to an annual festive fundraiser which will see music fill the air of Coventry Cathedral in aid of a charity that supports vulnerable children across the area.

A Christmastide Celebration is set to be held at Coventry Cathedral on Saturday, December 9 at 6pm to raise funds for Coventry and Warwickshire Children’s Charity.

The concert is being presented by Coventry Cathedral Chorus which will be performing a host of Christmas carols and music alongside Brass Band of Central England, Heart of England School and Coventry Cathedral Choristers.

It will be an opportunity to kickstart the Christmas countdown while supporting the charity, which was launched in 1996 and has raised more than £3 million in Coventry and Warwickshire for children who have suffered from physical, mental, or sexual abuse.

Tickets are now available and are priced at £15 for adults, £13 for over-60s, £7.50 for children and students and £40 for a family of two adults and two children.

Lee Thomas, co-chair of the Coventry and Warwickshire Children’s Charity, said: “Our annual concert is the perfect opportunity to get into the Christmas spirit while raising money for a fantastic cause.

“There will be something for everyone, from classic Christmas carols to popular festive favourites, and a variety of refreshments will also be available.”

Julie White, co-chair of the charity, added: “The cathedral will be filled with up to 750 guests for the performance on what will be a stunning occasion, and tickets are now available.

“All proceeds from the event will be donated to the charity, which does an incredible job supporting vulnerable children across Coventry and Warwickshire.”

The event is being sponsored by Emmerson Press, printers of Kenilworth, and TGFP, Accountants and tax advisers of Leamington Spa.
