Game for a Laugh at Escape Live, Coventry
Coventry’s top-rated TripAdvisor attraction is supporting a huge festival arriving in the city.
Comedians from across the UK will head to the first-ever Coventry Comedy Festival this month, and Escape Live Coventry has shown its support to organisers by sponsoring all improv shows at the 10-day event.
Escape Live’s support marks a continued relationship with Coventry University, which has played a key role in the organisation of talent and venues.
Panel show favourite Tom Allen will headline the festival, with a host of stand-up, improv, and musical acts performing at familiar venues across the city centre.
Local improvised comedy troupes including Coventry Improv will be joined by acclaimed acts such as the master of audience interaction, Ben van der Velde, and Yorkshire’s funniest improv comedy group, Super Troopers.
Couch, a show that delves into the dating apps of two audience members to deliver a range of off-the-cuff comedy scenes, will also be taking place in Coventry for the first time.
Alex Sandham, Head of Sales and Marketing at Escape Live, said: “We are looking forward to continuing our excellent relationship with the staff and students at Coventry University, and seeing this new festival grow.
“We wanted to offer our support after their instrumental role in bringing the Comedy Festival to the city.
“Escape Live Coventry is an ideal location for anyone visiting the Comedy Festival this month to come along and make it part of their experience in the city – it’s definitely a great laugh! It’s got the makings of a fantastic day out.”
