Industry prize for Midlands-based Sarginsons
A Coventry manufacturer has landed a prestigious industry prize at a national awards ceremony.
Sarginsons Industries, which is based in Torrington Avenue, won the Company Achievement Award at the Casting Industry Achievements Awards in Wolverhampton.
The world-class lightweighting company picked up Component of the Year at the event in 2018 and went one better this time out after a hugely successful 18 months.
Sarginsons has made major investments to help grow and diversify the business into new markets, including creating the Sarginsons Technical Centre (STC), bringing in new technicians – including three degree apprentices – and developing the company’s headquarters.
Turnover has grown and the company is setting its sights on diversifying its client base over the short and medium term to continue growth.
All of that helped the firm to secure the award at the event, which was attended by professionals in the casting industry sector from across the country.
Anthony Evans, Managing Director of Sarginsons, said: “We are absolutely delighted to pick up this award.
“It is testament to all of the hard work that the whole team has put in over the past year – and before that – as well as the commitment to investing in people, technology and our HQ to ensure we are ready to meet the challenges of the future.
“A big part of our future model is around collaboration and working with our clients from the very earliest stages to help them get their products right from the outset through our Design for Manufacture service.”
He added: “We would like to thank the Cast Metals Federation for this award and for all of their support with our ambitious plans for growth.”
