The leading business event for SME’s (small and medium enterprises) is fast approaching.  In just under three weeks’ thousands of SME decision makers will gather at the NEC for two days of expert insight, inspiration, innovation and networking.

The free-to-attend event designed to help SMEs develop their strategy for growth brings together over 100 speakers across 6 seminar theatres to present, discuss and debate hot topics around the core sectors for business growth: Finance, Funding, Business Tech, Marketing, Outsourcing and Innovation.

Creating more demand, whether that’s enquiries, leads, sign-ups or hard sales is at the top of the agenda for SMEs and Tom Fern and Paul Lock of advertising giants McCann will be presenting straightforward tactics in the Marketing theatre.

Google will be bringing the ‘The Digital Garage’ to the SME2017 exhibition to show businesses how to harness the power of the internet for growth.  They will be running free hands on courses from their stand throughout the duration of the show.

Connect Marketing will be sharing award winning insight on creating the best website in the world. FL1 Digital will be presenting on Inside Google Analytics, and looking at what is really happening to your website.

Paul Conner of the Chartered Institute of Marketing will share examples of practical marketing that drives SME business growth. Inge Degooijer of The Wonderland will take you through getting your customer journey right. Abdul Shakur will present a guide to generating more sales using social media.

David English, Chief Marketing Officer at Start Up loans will be exploring the real-life case studies of marketing activities that have helped create success.

Cloud, cyber security, process optimisation and mobile are all key themes running across the Business IT theatre include Phillip Brown of Data Intensity will be looking at how cloud presents one of the best opportunities for SMEs to utilise enterprise grade software, and make sure you ask the right questions when choosing one of the major providers.

Everything you need to know about Google cloud from James Smith of Cloud Technology Solutions who will show you how to work with technology that scales with you. Security is a hot topic and Mark Lomas of Probrand will help you learn where you can improve your cyber security, which affects thousands of SMEs. Ryan Bishop of Jack Enterprises will help you optimise your business processes.

Over on the keynote stage we welcome Dr David Hardman MBE of Innovation Birmingham who will be looking at how Artificial Intelligence will change the world of work beyond all current recognition and how this presents opportunities for SMEs through Digital Innovation.

Suzanne Homewood of Samsung will look at how technology can power ambition, while Shanial Charan of Konica Minolta shows why more companies are moving to mobile device capture to improve their field services.

In a late change to the Keynote Stage agenda, Emma Jones MBE will be interviewing live the founder and CEO of one of the Midlands largest companies HomeServe. Richard Harpin will be sharing the secrets of his success that created a £700m turnover international success.
